This painting started off as an impression of the Gower Peninsula but didn’t want to be there.  It wanted to be  in a sunnier warm place where the sea was very blue and the sky pink.

The towns and villages on Lake Garda seem to hug the shoreline.  At night they are a strip on lights twinkling at the base of the mountains.
