This painting came about after a trip to the northern lakes of Italy.
The rain ran down the windows of our little steamer as we looked out at the darkening shoreline opposite.

It is in mixed media – collage, acrylic and oil paint, crayon and chalk. 100 x 100 cms.

This painting started off as an impression of the Gower Peninsula but didn’t want to be there.  It wanted to be  in a sunnier warm place where the sea was very blue and the sky pink.
